FPL Differentials for Gameweek 33 | FPL Companion
Low-ownership DGW33 picks that can win your mini-league. Cherki, Van Hecke, Ferguson and more differentials explained.

Top Differentials for GW33
With six teams playing twice in GW33 and the same six blanking in GW34, this is the biggest double gameweek of the season. These low-ownership picks give you the best chance to outpace your rivals while still fielding a competitive team.
Why Not the Obvious Picks?
Marc Guéhi (Man Utd — 34.3% ownership, Form 15.0)
Guéhi has been incredible this season and is scoring from set pieces. But he plays for Man Utd — they are not one of the six DGW33 teams. If you want City exposure, look elsewhere. Guéhi is a great pick for a single gameweek, not a DGW.
Ekitike (Liverpool — 0.1% ownership)
Ekitike suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in Liverpool's Champions League defeat by PSG on Tuesday. He will miss the rest of the season and the World Cup. Avoid entirely.
GW33 and BGW34 Context
DGW33 features six teams with doubles: Leeds, Bournemouth, Brighton, Chelsea, Burnley, and Man City.
Confirmed fixtures:
Man City vs Arsenal (H) + Burnley vs Man City (A)
Chelsea vs Manchester United (H) + Brighton vs Chelsea (A)
Leeds vs Wolves (H) + Bournemouth vs Leeds (A)
Spurs vs Brighton (A) + Brighton vs Chelsea (H)
Newcastle vs Bournemouth (A) + Bournemouth vs Leeds (H)
Nott'm Forest vs Burnley (H) + Burnley vs Man City (A)
These same six teams blank in BGW34, making DGW33 a crucial opportunity to maximise points before the blank. The deadline is Saturday 18 April 2026 at 11:00 BST.
Differential Picks by Team
Man City — Cherki and Foden Lead the Way
Rayan Cherki (£6.3m — 9.0% ownership, Form 10.0)
The standout City differential for DGW33. Cherki is in excellent form and has been praised publicly by Pep Guardiola. He creates chances out of nothing and threads passes that no other City attacker can. Not guaranteed for 90 minutes but should start both games at home vs Arsenal and away vs Burnley. At £6.3m, excellent value.
Phil Foden (£8.0m — 7.9% ownership, Form 1.0)
Foden has not hit last season's heights but is fit, available, and should start both DGW33 matches. At £8.0m he is a different price point to Haaland and gives you City exposure without breaking the bank. The fixtures (Arsenal H, Burnley A) are workable.
Hold or sell O'Reilly (£5.0m) — he limped off in the Chelsea game with a muscle injury and is only 75% likely to play. Do not buy him for DGW33.
Bournemouth — Evanilson and Tavernier
Evanilson (£6.7m — 2.6% ownership, Form 5.0)
Bournemouth's best attacking asset. Penalty taker, strong underlying numbers, and two fixtures this week. He plays Newcastle away and Leeds home. At £6.7m he is an excellent DGW33 pick. Note: Kluivert (knee) and Cook (hamstring) are both ruled out long-term — Evanilson is the main man.
Tavernier (£5.4m — 5.3% ownership, Form 2.0)
May take penalties when Evanilson is not on the pitch. Plays midfield and offers attacking output. Solid budget option for DGW33 coverage.
Chelsea — João Pedro and Palmer
João Pedro (£7.7m — 50.7% ownership, Form 2.0)
Chelsea's most consistent attacker this season. 166 total points. Plays Manchester United at home and Brighton away in DGW33. The Brighton fixture especially is one to target. He is not a differential at 50% ownership but is the benchmark for Chelsea coverage.
Cole Palmer (£10.5m — 19.2% ownership, Form 3.0)
Has penalty and set-piece responsibility. At 19% ownership he is a genuine captain differential for GW33. The case for Palmer over João Pedro is price — saving £3m that can go toward doubling up on City assets. Both are viable captains in a DGW.
Avoid: Nkunku (joined AC Milan permanently), Chalobah (ankle, out until May), James (hamstring, no return date). Enzo (£6.5m) — check team news before buying.
Brighton — Van Hecke and Welbeck
Van Hecke (£4.6m — 10.5% ownership, Form 4.5)
The best budget differential for DGW33. Brighton play Spurs away and Chelsea at home. Van Hecke is the enabler who frees up funds for premium picks. Still room to gain ground on rivals at 10.5% ownership. Note: Dunk is suspended until 26 April.
Danny Welbeck (£6.3m — 8.6% ownership, Form 7.0)
In excellent form with Form 7.0. Brighton play Spurs away and Chelsea at home. Rotation risk is the main concern but at £6.3m with two games, the ceiling justifies the price. Monitor team news before kick-off.
Avoid: Mitoma — minutes not guaranteed with Gomez and Minteh competing for his spot.
Leeds — Calvert-Lewin and Aaronson
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.6m — 11.1% ownership, Form 2.0)
Leeds' best attacking option. Two fixtures in DGW33: Wolves at home and Bournemouth away. At £5.6m he is a solid mid-price forward who should start both games.
Brenden Aaronson (£5.4m — 1.2% ownership, Form 4.0)
Good minutes and form at £5.4m. Budget enabler who can free up funds for premium picks. Plays Wolves (H) and Bournemouth (A).
Caution: Stach (ankle, expected back 1 May) and Rodon (ankle, expected back 1 May) are ruled out. Check lineup before the deadline.
Burnley — Budget Options Only
No Burnley player is recommended as a primary pick. The fixtures (Forest at home, Man City away) are not favourable. Any Burnley assets should only be used as last-resort budget fillers if you desperately need to free up funds.
Amdouni (£4.5m) is only 25% likely to play. Avoid.
Conclusion
DGW33 is where mini-leagues are won and lost. Cherki at £6.3m is the standout differential — he has the form, the fixtures, and the opportunity. For Chelsea, either João Pedro (safer) or Palmer (differential) depending on your budget. Van Hecke remains the best sub-£5m option across the entire game. Avoid any player confirmed injured or transferred out.
