GW34 Preview: Fixture Analysis and FPL Planning | FPL Companion

GW33 double-gameweek action gave us plenty to work with. Haaland was on target again, Rutter came to the rescue and Truffert continues to justify his ownership. But the real work starts now. GW34 is the next deadline and here is how to plan for it.

DGW33: How the Key Picks Did

Haaland scored again. Cherki opened the scoring at the Etihad and Haaland doubled the lead. Manchester City look every inch champions and their fixture at Burnley is the kindest outcome in the double-gameweek.

Semenyo continues to be a consistent threat for City. His underlying numbers across the season have been strong and the fixtures ahead remain favourable.

Rutter did it again off the bench. The 94th-minute equaliser at Spurs was his fourth return in six substitute appearances. Brighton's home fixture against Chelsea is one to watch.

Truffert and Tavernier delivered for Bournemouth across their two matches. Their assets have done their job for the week.

GW34 Fixture Analysis

Arsenal face Newcastle at home. They were never blanking this week. Gabriel and Timber are both viable options at the back. Newcastle away from home have been inconsistent this season.

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool are at home to Palace. Salah is unavoidable but Van Dijk on set pieces is the standout pick from Liverpool's defence. Gravenberch at 5.5m is the best budget route into this team. He has 127 points this season and his underlying numbers are exceptional for the price. Szoboszlai at 7.1m is the alternative in midfield.

Manchester United vs Brentford

Man Utd are at home to Brentford. They just beat Chelsea away and now get another winnable home fixture. Cunha and Bruno Fernandes are the picks. Brentford have conceded in six of their last eight away games.

Wolves vs Spurs

Spurs travel to Wolves. Wolves are in freefall at home and have conceded heavily. Van de Ven at 4.4m is the standout pick from Spurs. He has 100 points this season and is the cheapest route into a defence that will keep clean sheets here. Richarlison at 6.3m is the forward option if you want exposure to the attack.

Fulham vs Aston Villa

Villa are away at Fulham. Watkins scored in a 4-3 thriller and his confidence will be lifted. Villa's fixtures are opening up and at 7.9m he competes with forwards at twice the price.

West Ham vs Everton

West Ham are at home to Everton. West Ham's attacking assets at home have been a source of points all season. Watch this fixture before committing but do not ignore it entirely.

Sunderland vs Nottingham Forest

Forest travel to Sunderland. Gibbs-White at 5.9m is essential if you do not already own him. He has returned in multiple ways this season and Sunderland's away form is one of the worst in the league.

Arsenal vs Newcastle

Arsenal face Newcastle at home. Gabriel and Timber are both viable options at the back. Newcastle away from home have been inconsistent this season.

Blank Teams in GW34

Six teams blank in GW34. Chelsea, Manchester City, Bournemouth, Brighton, Burnley and Leeds all have no fixture this week. If your squad is heavily weighted towards any of these sides you need cover. The teams above with fixtures are your source of free-hit and wildcard plays.
